Derryleckagh

Derryleckagh in Northern Ireland is a large example of an inter-drumlin wetland with well-developed transition mire vegetation of the basin mire type. Although a large part of the site is dominated by tall reedswamp, it still contains extensive areas of  Bottle Sedge – along with lesser tussock-sedge and brown mosses. Within this fen vegetation are well-developed pools and soakways with Marsh St John’s-wort prominent. The site contains several rare or localised invertebrate species.

There is no public access to this site.
