Curran Bog

Curran bog is a lowland raised bog with intact surface. Considered one of the best examples of a lowland raised bog in Northern Ireland, with a significant area of intact bog remaining and well-developed surface patterning (i.e pool, hummock and hollow complexes). The cutover area is extensive and has a range of secondary vegetation types, which support a variety of plant and animal communities, including a diverse and notable invertebrate community.

There is no public access to this site.
