Location - Giant's Grave; Gortgranagh; Clondermot; Derry.

Description
This site is designated "Giants Grave" on the ordinance survey 6"maps & the 1972 map shows "Giant's Grave - chambered grave". Despite this, it has proved impossible to identify the site in the field, both during the 1930s & again in the 1990s. There are no visible remains in the area indicated on the map & it would appear that the feature was removed sometime between the 1905 map and the 1930s. A DANI report from 1985 states that drainage work had been carried out in the area & the contractor had buried a number of stones. There are now no visible remains of the site.

Location - Cromlech; Barr Cregg; Cumber Uppet; Derry.

Description
In bogland, with quite good views NE across a stream valley. Only a few stones are visible, projecting through the Heather, hence classification of this megalithic tomb is not clear. Most obvious is a large flat boulder, probably a capstone 1.9m E-W, 1.7m N-S x 0.5m thick. This appears to lie on the surface, but a hollow is visible below it & it is set on several upright stones. 5.5m to the west is a 2nd possible capstone c.1m across & 0.3m thick, supported at the east by an orthostat. A single orthostat between the 2 capstones projects above the bog. A further 5m to W is an upright stone orientated N/S, 1m long, 0.75m high & 0.35m thick; at least 2 more lie to W/SW. This may be a megalithic tomb, or a multiple cist cairn.

Location - Brockagh; Cumber Lower; Derry.

Description
In land recently reclaimed from bog on a hill sloping to NW. This site is now entirely covered in & not visible. The owner indicated the location on the map. While reclaiming the land, he came across a line of stones at least 15 yards long. He removed some of the stones but left most of them. Many of the stones were approx. 1 yard high. The structure appeared to be above the ground. When ploughed, the area around the stones was quite black.

Location - Clonmakane; Cumber Lower; Derry.

Description
This site was reported by a JCB driver, who uncovered it during reclamation on a wide ridge with good views all round. There is no cairn material left around the tomb & the site appears to have been much ruined in the distant past. It consists of the remains of 2 chambers, orientated E-W, separated by jambs & would appear to be a form of court tomb. The gallery is 1.5m wide & 6.75m long. 2 orthostats 0.6m high form the jambs separating the 2 chambers. The only surviving walls are 2 stones laid sideways forming the N side of the chamber.

Location - The Fairy Cave; Dunlade Glebe; Faughanvale; Limavady.

Description
On a NW-facing mountain slope with excellent views. The site sits at the foot of a steep scarp. It consists of a setting of 5 large slabs of stone, each over 1m long. The area around the upright stones would appear to be lined with stones, although this is now mostly covered in peat. It is not possible to identify which type of megalithic tomb this was. Nearby to NE are the remains of early fieldwalls, one of which runs down hill. There are also other intermittent stretches in the area, but no overall plan could be identified.

Location - Ballymagrorty or White House; Templemore; Derry.

Description
Barony: Northwest Liberties of Londonderry. In a dramatic setting on the summit of a mountain with excellent views all round. The fence marking the border with Donegal runs over the site. There is also a trig.point on the cairn. The site consists of a roughly circular cairn, 15m x 16m with a cist exposed at NW. The cist is formed of 2 large slabs with a displaced end stone & is 0.85m wide x 1.45m long & 0.55m deep. The cairn is up to 1.4m high. The well recorded in the centre of the cairn in previous accounts of the site is no longer visible.
