Description
This tomb, excavated 1979-82, consists of a trapezoidal cairn with a semi-circular open court at the SE end. The edge of the cairn is defined by a dry-stone revetment all around the outside. There have been two sets of monuments recorded at this site

Description 1
This is a fairly intact site, with the court at the east and facing uphill. The overall length is 30m, but the back 5m may be an addition as there is a possible end at 25m & a probable lateral chamber occupies the end area. The cairn is fairly parallel-sided, being 10m wide at W & 12m wide at E. The revetment is clearly defined with boulders & may survive to several courses in places. The court is 5m deep & 4.5m wide at the mouth. There are 2 good portals, but the chambers are unclear. The cairn is 2m high at best.

Description 2
East of Lough Finegan on sloping ground, the wedge tomb is visible on the skyline. This is a long cairn orientated NE/SW. The court is at the NE end, which is somewhat wider than the SW, giving a trapezoidal appearance. 2 entrance jambs & a back stone are the only structural stones visible. The impression is of a very well preserved site. Bog removed shows that the old ground level was at least 2m below present level. The cairn is 18.5m long, 13.4m wide at centre, 7m wide at back & c1m above the bog.
