Location -
Giant's Grave; Slaghtfreeden; Lissan; Cookstown.
Description
In a large expanse of bogland, which still covers most of the site.
It is indicated by the ordinance survey as a single 80m long cairn
aligned E-W. At the west end the small chamber, 2.6m long, aligned
N-S may be a subsidiary, with the main tomb under cairn & Heather
to the east. 2 portals, a sill & side stones are visible &
a displaced capstone lies on the cairn to the east. At west the
cairn is 7m wide & is exposed for 8m east of the chamber, leading
to the bog-covered portion. It is exposed in 5 places, which may
indicate 5 separate cairns, not just one.
Location - Cromlech;
Keerin; Bodoney Lower; Omagh.
Description
On high, level ground, the capstone of this portal tomb is exposed
just above the surface of the blanket bog - the chamber below ground
is filled with water. The capstone is 2.4m long, 1.4m wide &
0.3m thick. The chamber is the same size as the capstone. Two portal
stones & two side stones are visible. The tomb is orientated
SE.

Description
In boggy pasture on ground sloping up to the east and down to north
& NW. The site consists of a cairn not protruding much over
1m above the top of the bog, orientated E-W. It is 30m long, 9m
wide at the front & 7m at the back. The court is represented
by one good stone at the north side, 0.8m high & 0.6m wide.
The gallery is 11m long & quite high on both sides, particularly
a line of wall running E-W up the centre, which may be a secondary
feature. There is a possible lintel still in situ in the centre
& 2m to west a group of stones may be part of the original roofing
structure. Otherwise the cairn is featureless & probably had
3-4 chambers.

Description 1
On levellish moorland of peat & gravel with a quarry face close
by at NW & with panoramic views SW-W-NW-N. This tomb consists
of a gallery of sidewalls & 2 capstones still in situ, with
a possibly 3rd to W. The tomb is orientated WSW & there is one
portal stone in situ at S, 0.75m high. No cairn material or outer
walling is visible. The 2 capstones are 1.2 & 1.05m long respectively.
The tomb is very similar to another nearby wedge tomb.
Description 2
This site was described in 1985 as on the remains of a gravel hill,
near a quarry. It consisted of a large stone, with stones immediately
adjacent to it, which might have been the remains of a cairn. It
was not possible from the visible remains to allow a positive identification
as a wedge tomb. The quarry has since advanced & destroyed the
site.
Description 3
On a knoll, overlooking a wedge tomb & with extensive views
SW-W-NW. This is a dual court tomb, with chambers back to back on
different axes, set in an oval cairn 100ft x 50ft, orientated roughly
E-W, with a court at either end. The north horn of both courts has
disappeared & most of the south side of the east gallery has
gone. The east gallery runs west in to the cairn from the east fore-court,
while the west gallery runs slightly NE into the cairn from the
west forecourt & seems to be divided into 2 chambers. The tomb
was excavated in 1937 & yielded several flint scrapers &
knives, as well as shards of Neolithic pottery. The tomb was found
to have been built on an occupation site, with hearths, pot shards
& hazel nuts.

Description 4
On levelled ground south of a higher knoll on which a court tomb
is set. This tomb comprises 2 capstone in situ, set on most of the
inner walling. The outer wall is much less well preserved but a
few stones remain. There is no trace of the cairn. The entrance
is at SW & is marked by 2 higher portals, the west one in line
with the inner wall & the east one outside it. The entrance
gap is 1.04m wide & is covered by a capstone. There are several
other rocks projecting through the surface which may be displaced
stone, but may be natural.

Grave; Tullybrick; Ballynascreen; Magherafelt.
Description
In a sheltered hollow on peat woodland. The site consists of an
oval cairn, 6.2m x 5.4m surrounded by a kerb visible at south and
west, but probably covered by turf elsewhere. The highest kerbstone
is 0.7m. At WSW, that the kerb becomes a facade, with larger stones
used. There is a small, trapezoidal ante-chamber at WSW, 1.3m wide
x 1.9m long at the front & 1.25m at the back, & behind this
are the very collapsed remains of another chamber, approx. 3.8m
long. A massive capstone, now broken, 2.26m x 1.14m covers the NE
end. O Nuallain classifies this as a wedge tomb.
