Description
Found in peat on the southern bank of the Corcrain river. A flat bottomed
oak craft with gently rising sub-rectangular ends, and slightly splayed,
straight and very thin sides. When found measured 3.5m in length, 61cm
in breadth and perhaps 18cm in overall height. In addition to noting tool
marks on the hull, there were also two holes which showed careful signs
of patching.
