Description
Skeleton got in a bog. John Sterling of Knocknakerragh got a skeleton of a human body 3 feet under the surface of a bog in the above townland in 1820.

Location - Drumcroon townland, Aghadowey Parish

Date of discovery – pre1835

Description
A human skeleton in the possession of John Wilson Esq of Drumcroon with a pole at its side and the hair still adhering to the scalp.

Location - Boghill townland, Coleraine Parish

Date of discovery – pre1835

Description
A few years ago, a meather of butter with a few coffin boards was found in this bog. The coffin boards are supposed to be those of a man named McMurray who committed suicide and was buried in a bed of gravel and moss in the centre of the bog and is called McMurray’s Now.
